Lars Mueller: Managing Director
Lars Mueller was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1971.
After completing his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant at Helm AG in Hamburg (1991-1993), he joined his father’s company RAIMUND MUELLER GMBH, an agent/representative for speciality chemicals.
In the following years, Lars Mueller gained in-depth sales knowledge and technical expertise, when working for various associated companies in the USA and England.
Of the company’s three main pillars – raw materials for printing inks, raw materials for hair colours and bromine chemicals – he took over responsibility for sales of the latter two.
In 1998, Lars Mueller founded the company “CHEM-TRADE”, which focussed on international trade of fine chemicals.
Accompanied by continuous organic growth and the ongoing diversification of the organization into additional areas of activity, the company was renamed to SYNTHARO FINE CHEMICALS GMBH in 2008.
The fascination for chemistry and its processes is and remains a key driver for current and future challenges.
As Managing Director as well as Marketing and Sales Manager, Lars Mueller always manages the company with an eye on the latest developments and future topics.
In his spare time he finds a balance to his professional activities when riding his motorcycle or jamming on his guitar.
Lars Mueller is married and has three children.

Troisdorf, Germany
After 10 years in the Hamburg area and 2 years in the Chempark Leverkusen, we have had our company headquarters in the Troisdorf industrial park since 2010, a former factory of Dynamit Nobel AG. In addition to the management, all administrative tasks are controlled centrally from here.
We concentrate our physical activities at the Troisdorf site and produce various technical solutions for different areas of application in the chemical industry.
Chennai, India
With the formation of our joint venture Vishwa-Syntharo PharmaChem Pvt. ltd (VSPC) At the end of 2015, we significantly increased our activities in the areas of synthesis development / optimization, scale-up and production of specialties – initially on a pilot plant scale.
In addition to synthesis and analysis laboratories, we have a kilo laboratory with glass plants of up to 100 liters outside of Chennai. So we are able to produce amounts of approx. 5-50 kg net per month, depending on the complexity of the synthesis. Since we have been able to successfully transfer some products to the tons scale over the years, the joint venture can also provide commercial capacities since 2022 as part of an operating lease.
New York, USA
In order to strengthen our presence in the US market, we founded a subsidiary in the USA in 2015. Syntharo Fine Chemicals USA, Inc. not only takes on sourcing activities for the group of companies, but also offers US customers local storage capacities, short delivery times and a DDP service.
